About me...
This e-course will help you get in touch with your inner photographer! Here we will discuss several topics, including creative processing, film vs digital, composition, finding subjects, fun with Polaroid, and many aspects of photography that are intuitive and subjective. This is a 'work at your own pace' class, and is geared towards those with little to no photographic experience. While we cover technical aspects of photography, we will be focusing on developing creativity. Class size is limited, so that we can interact with one another and have plenty of time to give feedback on assignments. We will also have a contest in the fourth week, and prizes are being donated by Lensbaby, Totally Rad Actions, My Funky Camera and Mpix!
Starting:
April 5th 2010, Lasting for 6 weeks.
Requirements:
-You must own a camera- DSLRs are recommended, but not mandatory (cameras with manual options offer more room for creativity)
-Have the ability to upload to a group pool, if you choose to share (sharing is NOT required)
-You must have the desire to learn!
Class Scedule:
*Monday- I will give the main lesson and assignment for the week.
I will also be posting to our forum some creative ideas relating to the assignment.
*Wednesday- I will post a video or podcast to discuss the assignment.
*Friday- Discussion and tips. We will interact on the forum discussing the assignment and I will address any questions or ideas you may have. I will then give some thoughts on possible weekend adventures- I mean, assignments.
We will also have discussion on our Flickr group should you choose to join.
You can be sure that I will have plenty of inspirational ideas to mix it up. The schedule is a guideline- and while we will adhere to it in general, I'm sure we will have fun veering off the path during our 6 weeks together.
My goal as your instructor is to give you the confidence and knowlege to get out there and experiment. To really FEEL the subject of your photograph. To follow your passion, to develop your own style- to Bloom.
